BMG UPDATE ON TYPHOON RUBY / HAGUPIT NO. 1

Typhoon Updates

As of 8AM today, the typhoon Ruby (International Name: Hagupit) has gained more (strength) and slightly slowed down as it continues to move West Northwest towards eastern Visayas. The center of the typhoon was located, as of 4AM, 500km East of Borongan, Eastern Samar. It is forecasted to move West Northwest at 13kph. (NDRRMC)

As of 10AM today, the typhoon was located 435km East of Borongan, Eastern Samar.

At 4PM, the typhoon was located 370km East of Borongan, Eastern Samar. The maximum sustained winds have also since slowed down to 195kph near the center and gustiness of 230kph.

It is forecasted to be 80km North Northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar tomorrow afternoon. On Sunday afternoon, it will be 50km North of Masbate City, Masbate or in the vicinity of Ticao Island. (PAG-ASA)

August 12-14—Cagayan de Oro City.  Key stakeholders from Barangay Pagatpat gathered for a 3-day Participatory Barangay Development Planning Workshop last August 12-14, 2014. Participated by various groups, which includes the Barangay Council, academe, youth, transport group, farmers, interfaith, women’s group, person with dis-abilities and senior citizen, the 35 sectoral representatives, led by Hon. August 9-10, 2014?Facilitators of the Leadership Communities in partnership with AFI, AYLC, JCI, CACABU, COC, XU, MUST and BMFI have successfully organized a 2-day Lead and Learn Camp from August 9-10, 2014 held at Seaside Bible Camp, Barra Opol, Misamis Oriental. The Lead & Learn Camp is a leadership camp and workshop not only for the youth leaders of our participating 9 Barangays but also to the Barangay Kagawad, and Partner Facilitators of the youth leadership development program of Ayala Foundation. The objective of the camp is to develop and empower our young leaders and to allow them to reflect on the projects that they have developed for their communities. It also served as a workshop for the partners (JCI, BMFI, XU, COC, MUST and BMFI) and Barangay Kagawads of their respective Barangay to develop the skills and enhance the tools and technology in facilitating workshops, camps, and other activities that are very useful to apply in the community.Read More »Called Driven One
