Good morning friends and partners!<\/p>\n

We apologize for the recent lack of updates! Things have been busy over the past weeks, in addition to some of our team members getting sick over a few days. We regret that we have not kept you all updated, but we hope to make it up to you.<\/p>\n

Distributed 124 shelter repair kits to Barangay Sto. Rosario in Antequera.<\/p>\n

Turnover of 120 shelter repair kits to the Municipality of Antequera for distribution in 6 barangays.<\/p>\n

Medical Mission at Sto. Rosario, Antequera in partnership with Dr. Roel Cagape and Dr. Joel de Jesus. 164 patients were served.<\/p>\n

Medical Mission at Antequera Health Center in partnership with Dr. Roel Cagape and Dr. Joel de Jesus. 57 patients were served.<\/p>\n

Medical Mission at Catagbacan, Loon and Pig-ot, Loon in partnership with Dr. Roel Cagape and Dr. Joel de Jesus. 70 patients were served in Catagbacan while 147 were served in Pig-ot.<\/p>\n

Medical Mission at Sandingan Island, Loon in partnership with Dr. Roel Cagape and Dr. Joel de Jesus. 151 patients were served.<\/p>\n

COMMUNITY SITUATION AFTER TYPHOON YOLANDA:<\/b><\/p>\n

Antequera and Loon held MDRRMC meetings to prepare everyone for the coming typhoon. Preemptive evacuation was done in both municipalities, in areas that were identified as flood-prone or at risk for collapsing considering the great damage that the earthquake has already dealt. A visit to the province on the 7th<\/sup> also confirmed that the PDRRMC was coordinating all these efforts and was proactive in ensuring that people were safe from Typhoon Yolanda.<\/p>\n

In Sto. Rosario, Antequera, 15 families were affected by neck-high floods brought in by typhoon Yolanda. These were among the families to whom we had already distributed relief to. Their already earthquake-damaged houses were said to be \u201cfinished off\u201d by the typhoon. However, over the next few days they were able to move back into their tents or temporary shelters. Some are opting to relocate to higher ground, while others will be moving back to their original settlement.<\/p>\n

According to our partners in Loon, everyone displaced by the typhoon have also moved back to their original shelters.<\/p>\n

The team will continue monitoring for any other incidents involving the Tropical Depression Zoraida.<\/p>\n
