GLOBAL MINDANAW AGRI-VENTURES CORPORATION (GMAV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Company<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Global\nMindanaw Agri-ventures Corporation (GMAV) is a start-up agribusiness\ncorporation located at Gingoog City in the province of Misamis Oriental,\nPhilippines. Formally started in 2016, GMAV provides appropriate innovations,\nvalue addition and better market of agricultural products produced by the rural\ncommunities in the province of Misamis Oriental.  As of 2018, GMAV has a total asset of P 3,703,485\nand it has ventured into broiler poultry production, cocosugar production,\ncoffee processing, macapuno coconut production, tobacco production and\nlogistics services. The company\u2019s head office is located at Door 3, Balay\nMindanaw Kalambuan Center, Brgy. 23, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Company\u2019s Vision, Mission and Goal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

GMAV is a\nbusiness corporation established by the Balay Mindanaw Group. With this, the\ncompany also adopted the Balay Mindnaw Group\u2019s vision of \u201cKaangayan, Kalambuan, Kalinaw\u2026 sa Mindanaw, sa Pilipinas ug Tibuok\nKalibutan\u201d (<\/em>Equity, Development and Peace\u2026 in Mindanaw, the Philippines and\nthe World).<\/em> However, as an\nagribusiness corporation, GMAV\u2019s mission is \u201cTransforming Agribusiness, Helping\nBuild Enterprising Communities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With such vision\nand mission, GMAV always look into the interdependent balance of responsibilities\nto its customers, its employees, its partner community of producers and its\nshareholders in order to came up with a brand that is of Good Quality and Enterprising Communities<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 2016 to 2018, GMAV focused on the following goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n 1. Product Development:\n <\/td>\n To develop products on macapuno, coconut, broiler and coffee based\n commodities with higher market value and demand.\n  \n <\/td><\/tr>
\n 2. Market Development:\n <\/td>\n To establish partnerships with institutional buyers of macapuno,\n cocosugar and coffee.\n  \n <\/td><\/tr>
\n 3. Human Resource Development:\n <\/td>\n To build a core staff with integrity, leadership, commitment and\n competence to efficiently manage and operate its enterprises.\n  \n <\/td><\/tr>
\n 4. Systems Development:\n <\/td>\n To develop and strengthen the efficient management systems of the corporation with clear\n target and performance parameters.\n  \n <\/td><\/tr>
\n 5. Financial Development:\n <\/td>\n To have a net operating profit of P 10,000,000 at the end of 2018 and\n established agri-based enterprise with an ROI of 20%.\n  \n <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n

Company\u2019s Structure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                At\npresent, GMAV has Eight (8) Board of Directors chaired by the founder of the\nBalay Mindanaw Group, Mr. Charlito Z. Manlupig. The members of Board of\nDirectors (BOD) are comprised mainly with expertise on social enterprise, rural\ndevelopment and micro-finance. The BOD sets the direction and policies of the\ncompany. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the company\u2019s\nday-to-day operations, 35 personnel are involved headed by the President and\nCEO of the company, Mr. Ariel C. Hernandez. These 35 personnel are divided into\nfour teams – 1) Admin-Finance-HR; (2) Broiler and Logistics Enterprise; (3)\nCocosugar Enterprise; (3) Minlagas Plantation. The figure below is the\norganizational structure of GMAV as of July 2018.

GMAV\u2019s Corporate Farm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n \n \nGMAV has a 50 hectare Corporate Farm located at Sitio Minlagas, Brgy.\nSan Luis, Gingoog City. The Corporate Farm is the production site of 1) Broiler\nPoultry; 2) Cocosugar; 3) Macapuno Coconuts and 4) Tobacco. The Corporate Farm\nalso serves as a Farm School together with Global Mindnaw Polytechnic and an\nagri-tourism site.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of October 2017, the Corporate\nFarm has the following facilities: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

a. 10\nhectare Macapuno Coconut Plantation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b. 2 Broiler\nPoultry House with 30,000 birds per cycle<\/p>\n\n\n\n

c. 25\nhectare Tobacco Plantation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

d. 15 hectare\nCoconut Farm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

e. Coco\nsugar Processing Plant<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Corporate Farm is a joint\nventure between the Global Mindanaw Agri-ventures Corporation, various land\nowners and small farmers in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partnership Model<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from GMAV\u2019s corporate farm, majority\nof its products were sustainably sourced from small farmers. For economies of\nscale, farmer producers were clustered into a production unit which are called\ncommunity of producers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enterprises under GMAV are\noperated with a business partnership model together with its partner\ninstitution: (1) Bangko sa Balay Foundation Inc. (BBFI) for micro-financing;\n(2) Global Mindanaw Polytechnic Inc. (GMPI) for technical training and capacity\nbuilding; (3) Katlingbanong Pamanhandi sa Mindanaw Foundation Inc. (KPMFI) for\ncommunity organizing and participatory development. The figure below is the\nbusiness model of GMAV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
