Three (3) farmers organizations were each awarded with one million pesos-worth of loans in a hand-over ceremony last Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the FIBECO Cares Training Center in the Municipality of Maramag, Bukidnon.
The New Eden Multi-Purpose Coop (NEMUCO), the Palamboon Farmers Association and the Capitan Juan Farmers Association were each awarded with P1-Million Peso zero-interest loans through the Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture Credit Policy Council (DA-ACPC) under their ANYO or Agri Negosyo loan program.
The loan aims to provide capitalization for these said organizations start-up businesses for coffee and vegetable trading that would offer better buying options for their members.
The effort was a partnership with GIZ, Nestle Philippines, Bangko sa Balay, Balay Mindanaw Foundation, Inc thru Balay Maramag and the DA-ACPC.
