Balay Mindanaw Response to the Mindanao Earthquake. Updates as of Nov 7, 2019.

I. Psycho-social Support Services (PSS)

Balay Mindanaw, NDBC/OMI, Duyog Marawi psychosocial support to children and youth of Barangay Manobo, Magpet, Province of Cotabato.

On November 6, 2019 the Balay Mindanaw PSS Team accompanied the Notre Dame Broadcasting Corp/OMI volunteers to Barangay Manobo, Magpet.

As they distributed relief goods, our PSS Team engaged around 400 children as young as 4 yrs old and 60 youth and students in PSS activities.

4-6 y/o -250;

7-13 y/o – 150;

14-27 y/o youth – 60

The partnership among the volunteers from Balay Mindanaw, Norte Dame Broadcasting Corp and Duyog Marawi is getting stronger.

Today is rest and reflection day for the PSS Team. I

II. Logistics

The Logistics Team spent the whole day of Nov 6 transporting the jerry cans from ICP to our Operations Base at RC Martinez Farm and Resort. The skyhydrant is now in full operation. The jerry cans are being filled with safe drinking water for distribution to Brgy. Indangan in Kidapawan and Brgy. Manobo in Magpet. The owner of RC Martinez have generously offered a space and abundant supply of water for SkyHydrant processing and distribution.

III. Status of Volunteers

Some of the original batch of volunteers have left to attend to important concerns. More new one have arrived and more will be arriving today.

Padayon… We refuse to be victims. We choose to be resources.
