Yesterday, Balay Mindanaw was invited to join a one-day strategizing workshop on Proper Solid Waste Management with the 10 urban barangays of Cagayan de Oro City. We recognize that proper solid waste management is a long process of changing mindsets that requires peoples’ participation, enforcement of policies and strengthening of local mechanisms. Thank you for still believing that we must start somewhere with a group of committed people. Special appreciation goes to Atty. Egay Uy for sharing his Hapsay Dalan experience and Barangay 1 Captain Abejuela for hosting the gathering.
