CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY\u2014<\/em><\/strong>Balay Mindanaw Foundation, Inc., which acts as secretariat of the Tulay Kalinaw Mindanaw (Tulay KAMI), successfully hosted the chief peace negotiator of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) during his visit to the City of Golden Friendship on March 25.<\/p>\n

Called \u201ca man of peace\u201d by no less than Archbishop Antonio J. Ledesma, Iqbal sat with leaders from the Church, civil society organizations, academe and the media in a candid Peace Conversation at the archbishop\u2019s official residence that was facilitated by Balay Mindanaw\u2019s own Kaloy Manlupig.<\/p>\n

The Peace Conversation was initiated by Tulay KAMI, a multi-sectoral peace conversation among civil society organizations (CSOs) and agencies working and advocating towards peacebuilding and conflict resolutions in Northern Mindanao.<\/p>\n

During the Peace Conversation, Iqbal reiterated the MILF\u2019s commitment to peace and that no matter what happens to the BBL the MILF will not \u201cdis-engage\u201d from the peace process.<\/p>\n
