–\u00a0Ii\u00a0and Tess arrived safely Ilo-ilo @ 2:40pm. The two immediately communicated\u00a0with\u00a0the VOICE Network partner Ms. Ma. Theresa \u201cMaita\u201d Magalo, head of\u00a0the Disaster Management Community of Reconciliation (DM-CoR) group, in Barrio Obrero, Ilo-ilo City.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

–\u00a0Ms. Magalo sent her staff and volunteers to facilitate, assist & help in\u00a0the tasks of the Logistics committee in preparation of relief operation in Roxas, Capiz.<\/span><\/div>\n

ACTIVITIES OF THE DAY<\/div>\n

a.\u00a0Identification of\u00a0<\/strong>Repacking Station –<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>Repacking of goods will be done at\u00a0the\u00a0house of one of the volunteers.\u00a0They initially suggested to conduct\u00a0the repacking of goods at\u00a0the Our Lady of Assumption Parish, but considering that it is Sunday tomorrow, we decided to do it in the house of a volunteer who is at the same time a member of DM CoR Group.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

b.\u00a0Purchasing\u00a0<\/strong>–\u00a0We were able to purchase all the rice needed. It will be delivered tomorrow by the\u00a0rice wholesaler.\u00a0<\/span>Many of the stores (especially those into wholesale) were already closed when we arrived. Others did not have the quantity that we needed. But after realizing that most of the stores do not have everything that we need, we decided to purchase the goods in different stores. However, we still were not able to complete the contents for the food pack.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
