However, we will not be limiting ourselves only to this barangay. Some of our relief goods will be channeled to other barangays as well. Our team has also expressed that, while we are still conducting continuing assessment of the area, our actual relief operations will be starting today. Please read the team report below for more information.<\/p>\n<p>As of the latest NDRRMC report this morning (October 23, 2013 at 6am), a total of 597,598 families or 2,991,143 persons are affected in 1,319 barangays in 54 municipalities and 6 cities in 6 provinces of Regions VI and VII. Out of this, about 12 percent (66,717 families or 344,347 persons) were displaced and now located both outside and inside 99 evacuation centers. 195 individuals have been reported dead, 651 injured and 12 missing, most of whom are residents of Bohol.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Bohol Earthquake Updates and Plans from the Team:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Mga Kauban,<\/p>\n<p>We intend to begin our real intervention today. After the series of on-the-ground visits and consultation with the community, LGUs, and other stakeholders, the BM DREAM Team Bohol has decided to focus assistance on Brgy. Sto. Rosario in the Municipality of Antequera.<\/p>\n<p>1. Shelter:<\/p>\n<p>In Brgy. Sto. Rosario, instead of setting up temporary shelters (tents), we have decided to go straight to the distribution of shelter repair kits for 80 totally damaged and 20 partially damaged houses.<\/p>\n<p>We will also provide &#8220;one shot&#8221; assistance to 20 survivors in each of 6 other barangays in Antequera in the form of shelter repair kits.<\/p>\n<p>2. Food, water, and other non-food relief goods:<\/p>\n<p>We will begin purchasing packing relief goods today. We intend to distribute 1,000 packs for our first wave.<\/p>\n<p>Food:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rice 80 sacks (to add to the 20 sacks from Cag de Oro LGU brought by Chris)<\/li>\n<li>Corned Beef<\/li>\n<li>Beef loaf<\/li>\n<li>Noodles<\/li>\n<li>Coffee<\/li>\n<li>Sugar<\/li>\n<li>Milo<\/li>\n<li>Milk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Non-food<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mats for 1,000<\/li>\n<li>Blankets 1,000<\/li>\n<li>Mosquito nets 1,000<\/li>\n<li>Bath soap big 1,000<\/li>\n<li>Detergent powder 2,000<\/li>\n<li>Toothbrush 4,000<\/li>\n<li>Toothpaste sachet 3,000<\/li>\n<li>Sanitary Napkins 2,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will distribute the initial 173 six-liter containers of Tubig Mindanaw to Sto. Rosario. We will wait for more shipment of water from Top Water.<\/p>\n<p>3. DAI Tents<\/p>\n<p>The Bohol Governor requested us to set up our tents in the Municipality of Loon &#8211; one of the hardest hit areas. Ed, Bibing and Bau will proceed to Loon today to conduct on-the-ground assessment. The other DAI DART volunteers Cliff and Chris will arrive in Bohol on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>4. Jojow and Chris Lapez will be setting up our operations center today. Bernard, Celoy and Richard will do the canvassing and purchasing of relief goods. Maite Palo will mobilize volunteers for repacking work.
