For outstanding community initiatives, land rights advocacy, resiliency projects, and peace dialogues, twenty barangays from across the Visayas and Mindanaw have been shortlisted for the very first Balay Mindanaw Awards.

Three barangays were shortlisted for the Kaangayan Award (Equity): Barangay Mimbuahan, Sugbongcogon, Misamis Oriental; Barangay San Vicente, Sumilao, Bukidnon; Barangay Tubo-Tubo, Cagwait, Surigao Sur.
